About Us

Hey! I’m Melanie! My biggest passion is dogs! I love everything to do with them. Grooming, walking, training, you name it! I spend my free time either hanging out with my dog Harley teaching him new tricks, or outside playing fetch.

I started my business because I couldn’t find a company that fulfilled my favourite things to do with my dog, adventure walks, while working on basic manners. I love visiting different trails, and sight seeing all that nature has to offer. I pride myself on having a very respectful dog by my side. I taught my dog to switch the side he’s walking on if people are coming towards us. he knows to move over when a large crowd walks past and always greets people with a wagging tail (if they would like to pet him of course).

Harley on his 12th birthday

This is Harley. He is my 12 year old cocker spaniel/golden retriever mix (passed away in April 2022). He has a taste for adventure and a love of car rides! Somewhere along the way, I started bringing him to work with me while dog walking. I noticed he’d get a little nervous around bigger dogs, but otherwise Harley really enjoyed the extra 2 hours of walking. He was always out like a light on our drive home.

When we spent our time in the dog parks his activities included sniffing, sniffing, cowering, and maybe a trot across the park when the other dogs weren’t looking. Harley wasn’t into playing, and didnt even have the confidence to really interact with dogs at all. He didn’t trust the dogs and really never had since being attacked as a puppy. I continued bringing him with me, and made sure what ever my schedule was, he would be comfortable. Over time, he became better around dogs he frequently shared the back seat with. Harley learned to not only work through with his fear of interacting with dogs, but actual started to initiate play!

Helping him overcome his fear and boosting his confidence was a lengthy process, but it made me very proud to see a change in him. he was much happier during group walks and even better when just passing dogs on the street. I’ll never forget the first time watching him actually play with other dogs!
